The M3NIR project was featured at this year’s IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC 2024) in Rome, where leading experts in photonics gathered to discuss the latest research and innovation in the field.
Tingting Zhai (Ghent University – imec) presented the project’s work on developing a modular mid-infrared sensing platform. The presentation introduced how M3NIR is building a flexible system that can be adapted for different applications, such as monitoring greenhouse gases, analysing liquids, and supporting breath-based health measurements
The event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the project’s progress, engage with the wider photonics community, and gather valuable feedback from researchers and industry representatives. Participation in IPC helps strengthen M3NIR’s visibility and supports collaboration with ongoing scientific advancements.
The consortium thanks the organizers and attendees for an inspiring conference. More updates on upcoming events and developments will follow as M3NIR continues moving forward.
